Lesson 2 - Listen!
Listen to what he is saying so you don’t get hurt. Most men tell you exactly what they are after so make sure you listen! If he tells you he isn’t looking for a relationship that’s exactly what he means, remember men don’t speak in hintology.
This is not the time to give more to try persuading him to change his mind, or to unconsciously fall in love with you, that’s a recipe for disaster! If he wants a relationship, he’ll tell you and if he doesn’t, he will tell you that too.
When a man is vocal about not wanting anything serious, he means it. If you continue to pursue him, he will see that as you agreeing it is okay and what you want. You’re consenting to a hookup-style relationship with nothing serious to come out of it.
In the theory of hintology, a women sees this as an opportunity to help him fall in love with her. Though this is not the opportunity to prove you’re good enough for him, nor is it an opportunity to try convince him you’re the right person for him. It also isn’t a breeding ground for excuses or justification. For example, “one time he said he loved me”; “he calls me beautiful all the time”; “he listens to me, he loves hanging out, we have the best dates.”
Just because he enjoys your company and finds you beautiful doesn’t mean he wants a committed relationship with you. Men can simply be in the moment, enjoying your company for what it is. Most men will happily allow you to meet their needs if you choose to, why would he say no if you’re consenting to no-strings-attached.
